Why Liquid CO2

In our devices, products are cooled through the release of food-grade liquid CO2 into a container with high-performance insulation.
This method offers several environmental benefits compared to traditional cooling technologies:

1. Natural Green Refrigerant: With a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 1 and an ODS (Ozone Depletion Potential) of 0, CO2 is one of the least polluting refrigerants available and does not contribute to ozone depletion.
2. High Cooling Power: CO2, with a temperature of -56°C, requires small amounts of gas for extended operational autonomy.
3. Non-Flammable: CO2 is safe to use and not subject to flammability risks.
4. No Restrictions: Unlike F-gases, CO2 is not subject to stringent regulatory limitations.
5. Safe: CO2 does not sublimate like dry ice, making it safer to use.
6. Net Zero System: The FROSTMED system does not require expensive freezers that consume and need to be disposed of. It uses CO2 as a byproduct of other industrial processes, ensuring no new CO2 is added to the atmosphere
