Who we are
Frostmed is a brand of Frostime, a pioneering New York City-based startup dedicated to transforming the medical sector's approach to temperature-sensitive logistics.
Since 2018, we have partnered with North Dakota State University (NDSU), who were instrumental in developing our first prototypes and proof of concept.
While we continue to collaborate with them, we have developed our own internal team at Frostime. This team is intercultural, interracial, and international, bringing together complementary skills that cover all aspects of our product development.

Our History
Frostime was established in 2014 by entrepreneur Mark Holzwanger in New York City. From 2014 to 2017, Frostime and NDSU (North Dakota State University) collaborated to develop proof-of-concept prototypes and secured key patents for the technology. Operations officially commenced in 2018 with the testing of the first prototype.
This technology posed several challenges as it represented an integrated cooling device not currently available on the market. To tackle these challenges, new partners were brought on board, and the development teams were integrated directly into Frostime. Despite some difficulties during the COVID-19 period, the company has continued to develop new high-performance integrated devices.
Some significant milestones include partnerships with NDSU, the Canadian Blood Service, and successful tests in the USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Morocco, and Italy. Frostime has developed multiple prototypes with conduction and convection cooling technologies and created alpha versions of the datalogger and online dashboard platform for monitoring transport. The company has obtained FDA approval and ISO certification.
